A Blockwork Orange

A Blockwork Orange is a fun new block exchange I've joined. Everyone makes orange crazy 9-patch blocks in sets of 9 using this tutorial by Oh Fransson. We then send all out blocks into the swap hostess, and once she gets everyone's blocks, she'll send out blocks back to the participants. Everyone will get the same amount of blocks back that they sent in.
These are the blocks that I've made so far.

These blocks are so easy to make. They're fun and addicting! I see lots of these blocks in my future.

MIA

Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately.  Kids and I have been sick for awhile, and that doesn't really leave me with much time to post.  Or to sew.  All my spare time has been spent sleeping since I'm so worn out.

I've joined my first online quilting bees on flickr.  Super excited.  Erin's fabric arrived today for the Twelve Month Quilting Bee.

MARCH Fabric- Twelve Month Quilting Bee

Her instructions were for wonky log cabin blocks ala Quilt Dad.  Finished block size is 15.5", so they finish up BIG!  I immediately cut in and have my block almost finished.  I've pulled out some coordinating fabrics from my stash for a second block.  These blocks are so much fun I can't stop at just one!  Can't wait to see everyone's blocks and Erin's finished quilt.
